she did not see

To own but not to possess…

To love but never to demand the same…

In his absence,

she cursed the time that seems to pass by so slow and fast all at once.

So slow, it makes her burdened

Of longing for the day to once again meet his eyes for the first time.

So fast, it makes her burdened just the same

Of waiting for the same day which is not coming.

In her solitude,

She found the joy of waiting and hoping

But not asking at the same time.

To own but not to possess…

To love but never to demand the same…

In their distance,

They grew apart…

Each perfecting their little imperfect world.

They are moving forward, taking steps

And eyeing at the flight of stairs

Which leads to two different heavens.

In her heart,

She will wait as long as she can…

She will believe as long as she can.

And when time decides that it’s over…

She will stop waiting

Stop believing and let go of it all

For she no longer can.

And finally,

In his absence, she will remember;

In her solitude, she will ask why;

In their distance, she will continue growing;

And in her heart, she will be at peace…

Know it all came but pretend she didn’t see.
